Rock and Shawn Michaels never really got on during their late 90’s / early 2000’s heyday.
The reason?
HBK had tried to use his political sway to hold Rocky down when the young Samoan first hit stardom in the WWF. Michaels was clearly out to protect his buddy Triple H, who Rock quickly overtook in terms of future main event positioning.
